Womens' Development
Professional Development offer 3 programmes aimed specifically at women. They are designed to help women to achieve their career goals and potential through formal training sessions and informal networks. This page outlines the target audience for each programme.
APPLE stands for Academics' and Administrators' Professional, Personal and Leadership Experience. It is a women’s development programme aimed at women working in all job families at levels 4 and 5 or equivalent. There are normally 50 – 60 women in each cohort.
PEAR stands for Professional and Personal Excellence for Administrative Roles. It is a women’s development programme aimed at women working in an administrative role (levels 1 to 3 or equivalent). Women within technical, manual or hospitality roles are also encouraged to attend. There are normally 40 - 50 women in each cohort.
WAND stands for Women’s Advancement Networking and Development. It is a women’s development programme aimed at women working in the R&T and APM job families at level 6 (or newly promoted level 7). There are normally 30 - 40 women in each cohort.
