Nuala is interested in the development of staff and postgraduates with respect to learning and teaching and has also been involved in the Associate Teachers and Intensive Learning and Teaching Programmes here at Nottingham. Nuala joined PD in July 2005 after 15 years at Manchester Metropolitan University where she lectured in Exercise Physiology and was a Senior Learning and Teaching Fellow.

Nuala completed a degree in Sports Studies and a PGCE at the University of Ulster, an MSc in PE and Sports Science at Loughborough University and an MA in Education (distance learning) at Oxford Brookes University.
